How To Use This Calculator
Getting your estimated score takes less than 30 seconds. Here is exactly what to do:
How Scoring Works in Subway Surfers
Subway Surfers uses a layered scoring system that rewards players who run farther, collect more coins, and maintain consistency across missions. Understanding it gives you a real advantage.
The Multiplier Is Everything
Your score multiplier is the single most powerful factor in your final score. At 1x, running 100,000 meters gives you 100,000 points. At 10x, the same run gives you 1,000,000. This is why veteran players always focus on maxing their multiplier before chasing high scores. You build it by completing mission cards and weekly challenges — not by playing longer sessions.
Coins vs Score: What Is the Difference?
Coins and score are two separate currencies. Coins are collected mid-run and used to buy characters, hoverboards, and upgrades in the shop. Your score reflects how far you ran, multiplied by your current multiplier, plus bonuses. A coin magnet power-up does not directly inflate your score — but it increases your coin haul, which adds a coin bonus at the end of the run.
Hoverboard Effect on Score
A hoverboard does not add points directly, but it extends your run by absorbing one crash. A longer run means more distance, more coins, and a significantly higher base score. This is especially impactful when your multiplier is high. For a full breakdown of which hoverboards give the best advantage, see the complete Hoverboard Guide on SubsurfApps.com.
| Multiplier | Base Score 100K | Base Score 500K | Base Score 1M |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5x | 500,000 | 2,500,000 | 5,000,000 |
| 10x | 1,000,000 | 5,000,000 | 10,000,000 |
| 20x | 2,000,000 | 10,000,000 | 20,000,000 |
| 30x | 3,000,000 | 15,000,000 | 30,000,000 |
Tips To Maximize Your Score
These six strategies will consistently push your score higher regardless of which board or character you use.
Prioritize Multiplier Over Everything
Complete mission cards as fast as possible. Each card set increases your multiplier. A player at 15x will always outscore a player at 5x, even if the 5x player runs twice as far.
Use Hoverboards on Long Runs
Save hoverboards for runs where your multiplier is maxed and you want to push distance. Read the hoverboard guide to pick the right board for each situation.
Activate Coin Magnet Early
Use the coin magnet at the start of your run when coins are densest. The end-of-run coin bonus compounds with your base score for a meaningful total boost.
Complete Weekly Hunts
Weekly hunts are the fastest way to earn mission card XP and push your multiplier higher. Set a reminder and clear them before they reset every Sunday.
Focus on One Character
Upgrading one character fully gives better score bonuses than spreading upgrades thin across many. Pick a favourite and max them out first.
Open Mystery Boxes Mid-Run
Mystery boxes can grant power-ups that activate immediately, extending your run and adding bonus points. Do not skip them when they appear on the track.
